As a high-quality distributor of electronic components, Dasenic provides you with various brands and types of motors and drivers, including motor driver boards and modules, electric actuators, solenoids and other related products.
Motors and Drivers Definition
A motor is a device that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. A driver is an electronic device used to control a motor. It controls the speed, direction and torque of the motor by adjusting current, voltage and frequency. Motors and drivers are the core components in the motor system. They work together to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy and precisely control movement.
Common motor types include: DC motors, AC motors, stepper motors, servo motors, and trackless motors.
Among them, DC motor types include brushed DC motors and brushless DC motors.
Brushed DC Motor: simple and low cost, but more maintenance because the brushes and commutator will wear out.
Brushless DC Motor: high efficiency, long life, low noise, suitable for occasions with high requirements for precision and reliability.
AC motor subtypes include induction motors and synchronous motors.
Induction Motor: It has a simple structure and high reliability. It is the most commonly used AC motor. It includes single-phase and three-phase induction motors.
Synchronous Motor: The speed is synchronized with the power supply frequency and is often used in applications that require precise speed control.
Common types of drivers: DC motor driver, inverter, stepper motor driver, servo driver, linear motor driver.
Motor and driver application cases
AC induction motor and servo motor applications, such as: machines and robots on production lines, provide precise speed and position control.
DC motor and AC motor applications, such as: operation control of home appliances such as washing machines, air conditioners, refrigerators, etc.
Brushless DC motor and AC synchronous motor applications, such as: electric vehicle controllers, used to drive the wheel motor or transmission system of electric vehicles, providing efficient power drive and energy recovery.
Servo motor and stepper motor applications, such as: servo drivers, stepper motor drivers, are used to control the joint movement of robots and achieve high-precision motion control.
