UVPP provided by Thomas Research Products
Thomas Research Products (TRP) was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Huntley, Illinois, USA. The company designs, manufactures, and supplies advanced drivers and power solutions for the solid-state lighting industry. TRP also produces a wide range of energy-efficient electronic controls, transient suppressors, switches, and relays for commercial HID and fluorescent lighting used in both indoor and outdoor applications.
TRP is one of Varon Lighting Group's four primary brands.
In 2009, Hubbell, Inc. acquired the Varon Lighting Group, LLC.
TRP was wholly owned by Hubbell, Inc. The Hubbell Controls Solutions business includes various connectivity options and houses the LED driver business that was once recognized as Thomas Research Products. The Thomas brand ceased to exist in 2017 following the launch of a dimming control unit.
In February 2022, GE Current completed the acquisition of Hubbell, Inc.
