Nanmac Corporation was founded by a group of NASA scientists in 1956 with the aim of developing high-performance temperature sensors. Initially focused on government research, Nanmac developed many commercial applications across various industries such as plastics, aerospace, heat treatment, automotive testing, turbines, healthcare, and oil, from these early US government R&D projects. Nanmac holds multiple patents in temperature sensors, corrosion gauges, and multifunctional sensors, and is currently applying for more patents. In 2010, it was selected as the SBA Small Business Exporter of the Year by the US Department of Commerce. In addition to North America, Nanmac continues to grow in its major markets in Europe and Asia, with satellite offices located in New Mexico, China, Korea, the UK, and Japan. Nanmac is a small business owned by service-disabled veterans. It is an ISO 9001:2015/AS 9100D certified company, and its calibration laboratory is directly traceable to NIST in temperature and pressure calibration, and has obtained ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certification.
