Enmotus was founded in 2010 to focus on driver level SSD tiering for SSD/HDD and SSD/SSD solutions and used an intelligent software driver to allow users to combine a fast SSD with a slower device to create a cost effective, large boot drive bigger than possible with a single SSD and without the need to use RAID. The technology was also used by AMD as part of their first generation StoreMI solution (no longer supported by AMD).
Sadly, Enmotus was unable to survive the adverse business conditions created by the pandemic and resulting supply chain issues and was forced to permanently close it's doors at the end of 2021.
