RIVER was established in March 1949 as Fuji Sangyo Gomei Kaisha. At the time of our founding, we were primarily involved in the manufacture and sale of resistors. The first transistor radio in Japan, Sony's 'TR-55' has adopted our resistor. Since then, we have pursued "Light, thin, short, and small" through "proprietary technology that no one has ever done". Even now that our core business has shifted from resistors to quartz devices, this DNA has been passed down continuously. Although our company entered the quartz industry relatively late in 1989, the company has consistently led the industry in miniaturization by focusing its market target on smaller products.
